There are fourteen teams (listed at left), each with 6 people, entering the Croydon 100 Challenge with the aim of turning £100 into as much money as possible over a 6 week period. The rules are simple (see below) and the team who raises the most money wins a celebration meal for 6 (including wine and transport in a stretch limousine to and from the restaurant) at Gaucho’s Grill in London W1 on the evening of Friday 20th July. The money raised by all the teams will be donated to local charities. The challenge starts on 1st June when each team will receive a Welcome Pack via recorded delivery which will include branded T-shirts, identity badges, a camera to record all your activities and an information folder. The folder will contain contact details of the participants and organisers as well as copies of a questionnaire which has to be completed by every team once a week. The questionnaire will be reported in The Croydon Advertiser on a weekly basis, and can be downloaded from here and once completed may be emailed to croydoncommit@aol.com by the following Thursday of each week. The competition finishes on 13th July when all teams will be asked to report their final total of money raised to the organisers as well as hand in the funds. The winning team will then be announced on the morning of 19th July at the Hilton Hotel, Purley Way, Croydon (invitations to be posted) and all the participating teams will be expected to attend. The winning team will be awarded the prize of a celebratory evening meal for 6, booked for the Friday 20th July at Gaucho’s Grill in London’s West End enjoying a return trip there in a stretch limousine. The following rules are very simple but must be followed otherwise disqualification will ensue. Rules of Play • Only teams of 6 may enter and each team member must be employed by the company or a member of the organisation. • If any team member vacates their place, the organisers must be notified and permission given in the first instance. • Fundraising activities will be closely monitored and any cheating by a team will result in immediate disqualification. • Fundraising activities must be deemed wholly legal and any illegal activities will result in disqualification. •
Donations by members of the team are allowed, in the event that your team
loses £100, in order to stay in the competition.
