The Venetian Masked Ball on 31st January was a charity fundraiser organised by Croydon Commitment in the sumptuous surroundings of the Great Hall at Addington Palace. One hundred and twenty guests, all wearing Venetian masks and evening dress, were greeted with a Champagne and Bellini reception before being entertained during the evening by three wonderful operatic acts in the form of the Diamond Divas and Opera on the Run.

Whilst being wined and dined by local companies based in Croydon hosting tables, the audience were charmed by the gorgeous Diamond Divas with their looks and beautiful singing voices – gaining a few fans into the bargain – then Opera on the Run entertained the guests with singing waiters and surprise table guests.

The evening was a huge success with many of the guests staying until the early hours of the morning. We raised lots of money for two local charities, Esther Community Project and the South East Cancer Help Centre.
